• Media converter module that includes up to 4 converters/extenders integrated into the same unit.
• 10 GbE extender module, Fibre Channel 10, STM-64, Infiniband, etc., up to a bandwidth per channel of up to 10 Gbps, configurable according to the specific protocol.
• DWDM multiplexer module for 4 channels according to ITU-T G.692 recommendation.
Each of these applications can, in turn, be classified according to its bidirectional capability, operation in 2nd or 3rd windows, with a specific laser output power for a specific range in km, etc., or at a specific wavelength for C/DWDM applications.
Applications
: • Low-cost add-and-drop network element for ring networks
• As a single-mode/multimode converter, wavelength converter, regenerator node, etc.
• As a low-channel transmission element for peripheral offices, allowing traffic to be concentrated on a higher-density optical network.
Features:
The module provides 3R regeneration and can therefore be used as a regenerator or wavelength converter, in simple ring configurations or even long-range applications.
The XMUX-4 module has a user-side front panel with four dual-LC optical interfaces with removable optical modules, allowing users to change the access type. These four dual-LC connections on the front panel connect to another four on the rear panel, also of the dual-LC type. Both front and rear interfaces are hot-swappable, allowing adaptation to any type of media or extending a transmission channel, such as 10 GbE, over a certain distance.
• Redundant power supply option.
• 19" rack-mount and desktop modules.
• SNMP management. Signaling of local, remote, link, and other connectivity status.
• Compatibility with the OSW-1 switching module of the DUSAC family for 1:1 protected networks
• Possibility of having a second module for 1+1 redundancy
• Scalable solution by adding successive modules for future growth.
