Completely redesigned, the EMG family meets the needs of installers by adapting to virtually any environmental condition (with a temperature range of -40 to +80 °C). Thanks to the selection of materials and components, the new models can incorporate the electronics required for each project and also help streamline commissioning and maintenance processes.

Advanced Features: EMG media converters for Ethernet signals, from copper to fiber optic, offer a wide range of special functions. For example, it is possible to limit the bandwidth of the fiber optic link when longer distances are required. Each unit has two front-panel switches to configure its behavior, ensuring compatibility and simplifying field maintenance. One switch can activate or deactivate the fiber port using the Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) function, which is very useful when detecting a fault at the remote end of the fiber link. The other switch allows you to select the operating speed of the optical port to 100FX or 1000FX for use with legacy equipment or mixed links, preventing mismatches.

Four Models The EMG family consists of three models with different Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities and power delivery via the copper port. These are IEEE 802.3at (PoE+ Type 2) units up to 30 W, IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++ Type 3) units up to 60 W, and IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++ Type 4) units up to 90 W. A version without PoE capability is also available, which is compatible with the manufacturer's unified power system.
Power The new media converters are designed to maintain service continuity in any field scenario.

They can operate with dual DC inputs (12–52 V), allowing two independent power supplies to be connected (offering redundancy and robustness benefits), and feature a rear PAWDIN connector for daisy-chaining multiple devices from a single source. PAWDIN is a new mechanical solution from ADILEC by Guilera that supports 19″ rack mounting via the DINR accessory, maintaining the philosophy of the previous PAWAL model. The COFITEL Group catalog includes two new power supplies: a single-output (PAW1R) and a redundant (PAW2R) for powering multiple devices via the rear PAWDIN connectors. All EMG media converters are designed for DIN rail, surface, or in-cabinet mounting.
