The Ruby Tech Corp. performs the conversion from 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX fiber with the aim of extending the transmission distance in industrial environments.This single-port converter, with an operating temperature range of -40 to +75 °C, simplifies maintenance and features Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) technology. This technology provides remote link down signal forwarding and alerts the main server to events occurring at each IFE-C700 termination. To activate forwarding mode and LFP functions, simply adjust the DIP switch and restart the converter. The new settings will then take effect. The single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic ports exceed transmission requirements over distances of up to 100 km.
The features of this media converter are further enhanced by the option to select an SC, ST, or LC connector for single-mode and multi-mode data, support for packets up to 2046 bytes and 9K jumbo packets, a fault alarm, electrical redundancy with a wide input range of 12 to 48 V, reverse polarity protection, and compliance with the European RoHS environmental directive.
