OneControl is a unique network and service management system that expands Ciena's portfolio of solutions and is a key component in ensuring smart infrastructures for Ciena customers in order to efficiently maximize the flexibility, scalability and design of their next-generation access, metro and trunk networks.


OneControl offers the NOC a complete multi-layered management solution for next-generation networks. This includes:
efficient network implementation: automatic discovery of nodes and networks, real-time view of network capacity, inventory management and reporting;
rapid service provisioning: through an automated process that leverages the multi-layered control plane and service templates;
comprehensive service guarantee: robust root cause analysis, automatic correlation to affected services, and SLA monitoring; and
Easy integration into back-office systems: open, standards-based upstream interfaces, service-oriented architecture, and compatibility with TMF 814 and MTOSI.

With initial capacities generally available in the third quarter of this year, OneControl has already been ordered by multiple Ciena customers.
