Taken together, these initiatives significantly expand Legrand's capabilities in power distribution and advanced thermal management, enabling data centers to meet the growing demands of artificial intelligence and high-density computing environments.

The acquisition of Kratos expands Legrand's critical power portfolio.
Headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, Kratos manufactures low-voltage switchgear, medium-voltage equipment, and integrated power systems for gray space applications in data centers and industrial settings. The company is recognized for its vertically integrated production model and engineered-to-order approach, which provides the speed and scalability required for today's critical deployments.
The acquisition of Kratos will allow Legrand to offer a stronger portfolio of critical power solutions for the data center market, expanding its existing gray space solutions, including cable buses, load banks, and cable trays, and complementing its leading white space offering with busway, bus duct, and rack power distribution units (PDUs).

“Data centers are facing unprecedented pressure to deploy large-scale, highly reliable digital infrastructures,” said Pedro Mendieta, President of Data, Power and Control (DPC) at Legrand for North and Central America. “By welcoming Kratos to Legrand, we are strengthening our ability to cover the entire data center power chain, guaranteeing our customers a single, trusted partner for their entire electrical ecosystem.”.

“Joining Legrand marks a key chapter in our journey,” said Rowan Koons, who will assume the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Kratos business unit within Legrand’s DPC division. “By leveraging Legrand’s global supply chain and operational infrastructure, we will be able to accelerate our growth and better support the large and complex projects our customers are developing.”.

Investment in Accelsius Drives Expansion into Advanced Liquid Cooling.
Legrand reaffirmed its commitment to next-generation thermal management by participating in Accelsius' Series B funding round. Accelsius is a pioneer in liquid cooling solutions for gigawatt-scale AI factories.
The collaboration with Accelsius represents a significant expansion of Legrand's data center capabilities into two-phase direct-to-chip liquid cooling. Through this strategic relationship, both companies will collaborate on joint development initiatives within the white space, including the integration of liquid cooling systems into rack infrastructures.

As artificial intelligence increases rack density, data center operators are rapidly adopting liquid cooling architectures to maintain performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. Accelsius' two-stage cooling technology is designed to remove heat directly at the processor level, enabling significantly higher compute densities while reducing the power consumption associated with thermal management.

A Unified Strategy for Critical Infrastructure:
The acquisition of Kratos and the alliance with Accelsius represent two pillars of a unified strategy: building a comprehensive, future-proof portfolio of critical infrastructure solutions for both the gray and white space of data centers.
Legrand remains focused on delivering customized, customer-centric solutions that can scale to meet the demands of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. These strategic moves reinforce Legrand's position as a trusted partner for building and operating resilient infrastructure capable of responding to next-generation digital demands.
