He began his professional career in China with Philips as a development engineer in the field of biophotonics. In 2005, he started his career in strategic consulting at IBM, later assuming international responsibilities within the Teldat Group. He has served as Business Development Manager for Asia, based in Beijing, China; International Sales Director in Silicon Valley, USA; and Corporate Vice President of International Sales in Madrid. In 2017, he was CEO of the enterprise software company Fintep for three years, operating between New York and Madrid. In 2020, he returned to Teldat, where he was appointed Chief Product Officer (CPO).

In his new role, Antonio García Romero will lead the next generation of telecommunications equipment for the Teldat Group, focusing on three areas: CPE for enterprise services with cutting-edge virtualized software; IoT for the mobile and electricity sectors; and Cloud for SD-WAN environments with advanced service management layers. He will also be responsible for creating a new Innovation Division that will provide Teldat customers with the latest cybersecurity and artificial intelligence solutions through their equipment.

The objectives set within the performance of his position include leading 5G deployments in the corporate and embedded sectors in Europe and Latin America, unifying proprietary technology in communications and cybersecurity, and launching the new generation of EDGEs with Artificial Intelligence, providing customers with resources to develop their own business intelligence from their data.
