With over 30 years in the technology sector, the new Managing Director has extensive experience in strategy, organizational transformation, and business development. Prior to this role, she led Eviden (Atos Group) in Spain and Portugal. She also brings a multifaceted background that combines strategic knowledge, commercial skills, and organizational transformation capabilities.
An economist by training from the Autonomous University of Madrid and specializing in Change Management at Babson College, Massachusetts, she has held various positions of responsibility at both Siemens and Atos, including leading key sectors such as Healthcare, Defense, Transportation, and the Public Sector. For the past decade, she has been instrumental in developing new business opportunities and consolidating strategic relationships in the Spanish market.
With this appointment, Atos reaffirms its commitment to the region, promoting a model based on technological innovation, sustainability, and adaptation to a constantly evolving environment. In this new structure, the Eviden brand remains the benchmark for hardware and software products in Mission Critical Systems, Cybersecurity, and Advanced Computing, ensuring continuity and specialization in these strategic areas.
Mercedes Payá will lead this new phase in Spain and Portugal, focusing on the digital transformation of organizations through advanced cloud, supercomputing and cybersecurity solutions, consolidating Atos as a leading strategic partner in the region.
