This follows last month's announcement regarding the expansion of the partnership with Oracle, supporting dedicated and hosted ports through its dedicated and on-demand Oracle cloud access in the UK.

Colt has just expanded its offering by connecting to two dedicated Oracle Points of Presence (PoPs) in Frankfurt, located in the data centers of Equinix and Interxion. These connections will allow customers to take advantage of Oracle Cloud's high-speed, secure, on-demand connectivity. Colt's cloud connectivity and on-demand offering comes from the Colt IQ Network, an optimized 100 Gbps network distributed across more than 900 data centers and connection points worldwide.

Oracle Cloud FastConnect infrastructure provides dedicated connectivity to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and other Oracle Cloud services. FastConnect offers companies in Germany, Austria, Spain, France, and Italy a simple, scalable, and cost-effective way to connect to the Oracle Cloud with high bandwidth and low latency. This results in a more reliable and consistent network experience compared to public internet connections.

Colt On Demand for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure allows users to self-provide high-bandwidth security and connectivity to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure in minutes. It also allows for dynamic scaling of bandwidth in real time. Colt On Demand for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is managed through an online customer portal with a flexible purchasing model.

Colt and Oracle announced the start of their relationship in 2018, and today, through an upcoming collaboration, Oracle customers can take advantage of the reliability of high-bandwidth access to Oracle Cloud data and applications with the help of Colt IQ Network.

Stephan Wanke, Colt's regional sales director for the DACH region, said: “Germany and the DACH region have always been important to Colt, and this expanded partnership with Oracle will allow companies in the region to take full advantage of the global connectivity ecosystem.”.

“As more and more companies begin to move their core business applications to the cloud, connectivity will become even more crucial to ensuring businesses run smoothly. Colt has invested to guarantee a world-class network across Europe and support enterprise cloud migrations, meaning organizations can enter the next decade in the best possible position to evolve and thrive digitally,” Wanke added.

“Expanding the collaboration between Colt and Oracle will allow more organizations in Germany to benefit from our FastConnect service in Frankfurt,” said Vinay Kumar, vice president of product management at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “With FastConnect, organizations benefit from secure and seamless cloud connectivity that delivers the speed, reliability, and security that businesses need today,” Kumar emphasized.
