International Award for Technological Innovation.
The Technological Innovation Award, granted annually by CYTED-IBEROEKA (Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development and Cooperation among Ibero-American companies or research and development groups), is named the “Luis Pieri” CYTED-IBEROEKA Award.

This award is public recognition of the best Iberoeka projects, an instrument to promote the competitiveness and cooperation of Ibero-American companies, and is only awarded to the best technological innovation projects carried out during the year.

logoCytedThis year, the CYTED Program Jury has decided to award this prize to Draka Cables for its project “Application of Mineral Nanoparticles to Polymeric Compounds Used as a Coating for Electrical Cables,” reference number IBK 08-577 (ANEC).

A project based on nanotechnology.
The main objective of DRAKA's innovation project has focused on the development of new polymer coatings for electrical cables, based on the application of mineral nanoparticles.
