Tony Shoemaker, ITT ICS's regional sales director, has excellent relationships with various geothermal energy clients in Nevada and has worked on numerous similar geothermal installations in the area. Furthermore, ITT Interconnect Solutions' BIW connectors are highly regarded by pumping equipment suppliers, including Baker Hughes Centrilift, which supplies Peppermill with pumps.
Tony Shoemaker visited the client's site before arriving at the optimal layout for the cellar where the equipment was installed. The ITT ICS BIW team was closely managed to ensure timely equipment delivery once the installation was complete. BIW Wellhead Feedthru and Surface Power connectors were used to supply electrical power to the submersible pump in the well, which provides hot water from an underground source to the facility. The well, which is 1,220 meters deep and became operational in January 2010, provides excellent flow rate, pressure, and temperature, exceeding initial expectations and requirements.
