The study was conducted using information provided by nearly one hundred companies in the ICT sector, representing over sixty thousand employees. The report offers essential data that provides a comprehensive overview of labor policies, primarily aimed at assisting human resources managers in identifying, defining, and updating salary calculations.
Although AMETIC made the study available to its participants in December, it is now accessible to all other companies in the sector upon request.
Among many other findings, the highly qualified workforce is striking, with 68% of employees in the sector holding a university degree. Also noteworthy is the high level of job stability, with 89% of employees on permanent contracts. The average age of employees is 38.3 years (higher than the previous year). A slight decrease in female participation, now at 34.1%, is also observed.
The study is particularly interesting because, in addition to the aforementioned sector-specific statistics, it includes a comprehensive report on employee compensation based on their job category and department within the company. Average, minimum, and maximum salaries, standard deviations, fixed and variable compensation, and number of dependents are some of the parameters measured and analyzed for each profile. The study also examines the employee benefits provided by companies, such as medical checkups, insurance, supplies, and meal vouchers.
Analyzing the observed trends, AMETIC concludes the study with a projected evolution of staffing levels for 2014.
