ATEN NRGence for green data centers. For the intelligent use of energy in data centers, ATEN has developed the ATEN NRGence product line. Among other things, it offers a new generation of PDUs (power distribution units): the “eco PDU” series, which allows IT managers to control and monitor the power status of connected devices and optimize energy consumption. With additional products such as eco sensors and power boxes, the ATEN NRGence product range is a complete solution for the “green” data center.
Eco PDUs offer real-time energy monitoring, early overheating notifications when thresholds are reached, and energy control via TCP/IP connection. They also provide continuous, real-time Rack Cooling Index (RCI) and Return on Temperature Index (RTI) data to measure and analyze Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). The first models are:
- PE6108: PDU Energy Meter, 8 outlets, 15A (UL reduced 12A) / 10A.
- PE6208: PDU Energy Meter, 8 outlets, 20A (UL reduced 16A) / 16A.
- PE8108: Output Energy Meter, 8 outlets, 15A (UL reduced 12A) / 10A.
- PE8208: Output Energy Meter, 8 outlets, 20A (UL reduced 16A) / 16A.
ATEN Van Cryst. The HDMI Media Distribution Solution (MDS) consists of the four-port VS1804T or eight-port VS1808T HDMI over Cat 5 splitter, along with the VE800R HDMI extender. It is a flexible and scalable solution for transferring full HD multimedia content and HDCP data from an HDMI input source to four or eight displays. The MDS HDMI, with signal transmission over Cat 5e cables, allows users to place the display up to 60 meters from the HDMI source device. At the transmission destination, the VE800R HDMI extender converts the incoming Cat5 signals and provides a standard HDMI interface. Furthermore, the MDS HDMI can be cascaded up to three levels for easy and flexible installation expansion, enabling signals to be sent to thousands of displays. With excellent high-definition resolution up to 1080p, it supports high contrast, vibrant colors, and 3D content. The VS1804T / VS1808T also offers a bidirectional RS-232 serial interface that allows system control via a high-end controller.
The VS482 Dual View four-port HDMI switch is designed for A/V installers and home theater enthusiasts. It supports four HDMI A/V input sources and two HDMI output displays, allowing users to quickly, easily, and independently switch between source devices connected to destination displays. The VS482 complies with HDMI standards, supports 3D video, and features ATEN's Audio Return Channel (ARC) technology. With this functionality, users can connect an HDMI cable to the ARC port to distribute audio from a source device to an A/V receiver – no additional audio cable is required. The VS482 features an intuitive On-Screen Display (OSD) menu that provides users with convenient video and audio control options, system settings, and information. Combined with the VE810 HDMI extender, the solution supports excellent video resolution for long-distance transmissions up to 40 meters (1920 x 1080 pixels and 1920 x 1200 pixels) or 60 meters (1080i).
