With this latest version of Avocent Data Planner, the product's ease of use is improved, control capabilities are enhanced, and a highly innovative visualization is presented. Specifically, this new version offers:
- The ability to diagnose problems early, thus anticipating system failures and preventing potential data center outages. It is also configured to communicate with other related products, including Avocent PDUs, Liebert PDUs, Avocent DSView 4, and Liebert SiteScan Web.
- This type of visualization for connectivity will allow data center managers to see the most accurate and up-to-date status of the data center. Furthermore, they will have greater speed and options when it is necessary to move or replace devices.
- The control area provides the flexibility and control needed to work with cloud systems.
This new version includes support in Spanish, as well as German, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, and French. In version 3.2,
Traci Yarbrough, Director of Product Marketing at Emerson Network Power, explains how the product has been improved: “The control programs used years ago have become difficult to maintain today. Avocent Data Planner is a highly effective alternative, providing the detailed information needed to control infrastructure with a comprehensive graphical interface. Users thus experience a return on investment because they no longer need to consult multiple sources and products when making a decision or change, and it allows us to continue delivering on our promise of easy and simple DCIM use.”
