iBusway is a prefabricated electrical trunking solution with a power distribution system for server racks that guarantees power availability, energy savings, and return on investment. The solution is space-saving and offers more efficient use of rack space. iBusway
is based on the Canalis KS prefabricated electrical trunking system and incorporates easy-to-connect junction boxes. Its plug-and-play design ensures quick and safe setup, minimizes installation time, provides the solution with great flexibility for new environments, and allows for the rapid installation or upgrade of an IT room. All components are supplied pre-wired and tested for fast and safe configuration.
Power distribution to the rack:
iBusway's modular design allows adaptation to all types of data centers, facilitating equipment expansion and replacement while monitoring energy consumption. Power is supplied via cable runs and Canalis KS junction boxes. Thermal and residual current protection is ensured by the Multi9 range of modular circuit breakers and residual current devices, as well as the Compact NSX circuit breakers.
This distribution system incorporates open protocols for measuring rack energy consumption and providing comprehensive IT room monitoring. Monitoring can also be performed using the Magelis range's human-machine interface and the software specifically designed for iBusway, which simplifies architecture design and installation monitoring.
The distribution system offers three levels of monitoring: the complete package, which covers room monitoring and configuration of Magelis branch boxes; the advanced package, which consists of rack power measurement, consumption and status of circuit breakers, available with Twido; and the classic package, which incorporates electrical distribution in racks using Canalis.
The iBusway local monitoring system provides a clear, real-time view of the IT room: load factor measurement, circuit breaker status, and individual power consumption for each rack. The solution's compatibility allows for connection to the central monitoring system of the data center.
