The device reduces the complexity of deploying various hardware systems for alerts, telemetry, environmental sensors, access and device control, leading to cost reductions and increased overall efficiency of data centers.
The new models introduced, the Avocent Universal Management Gateway 4000 and 6000, incorporate support for KVM switches and environmental sensors, while also expanding support for serial consoles and integrated service processors. Furthermore, these models significantly increase the amount of real-time data the device can collect (up to 10,000 data points per minute), enabling effective DCIM management.
