DominiThe Dominion KX II-101 V2 solution offers the same access and control technologies found in Raritan's Dominion KX II multiport switches, including secure server-level BIOS access, Absolute Mouse Synchronization™, and Virtual Media for file transfer and the installation of patches and updates over IP. Because the KX II-101 V2 is small enough to be mounted on the side of a server rack or even hung from a server, it saves rack space and reduces cable clutter. It also integrates with Raritan's CommandCenter® Secure gateway, allowing enterprise users to consolidate all Dominion devices into a single logical system with a single management interface.

Designed as a “zero U” – one port/one user/one device solution – the KX II-101 V2 provides non-blocking BIOS-level access and control of a single server via a dedicated IP address. As a result, access to a connected server is always possible without waiting for an open channel. For shared troubleshooting or collaboration, the KX II-101 V2 allows up to eight remote users to simultaneously view the same server. Remote power management is provided when used with Raritan’s Dominion PX Intelligent Rack Power Distribution Unit (iPDU).

“Our new Dominion KX II-101 V2 offers low-cost IP access, the latest productivity features, and a remote management experience that is indistinguishable from a rack session,” said Richard Dominach, senior product manager at Raritan. “The fact that it offers enormous capacity at a low price and is portable opens up numerous possibilities. It can support environments on servers or other target devices that are frequently moved into different configurations, such as in test labs and demonstration rooms. It can also help in situations where customers want access to their hosted servers.”.

The Dominion KX II-101 V2 is also an ideal platform for remote management of branch offices and other remote locations that have a small number of servers, and where the price of remote multiport KVM switches is not justified.
