Designed for both ceiling and ground-level installation, Ecoflair moves cooling from the data center to the exterior of the facility, freeing up space for IT equipment.
Available in 250kW and 500kW modules, Ecoflair's flexible design features include:
- Customization options to suit cooling requirements and environmental/climatic conditions.
- Modular construction simplifies installation, increases functionality, and reduces maintenance costs.
- The tubular design prevents scaling caused by the accumulation of cooling water residue, common with plate heat exchangers, minimizing maintenance and performance impact.
- It is constructed from polymer, eliminating the risk of corrosion from moisture or exposure to the elements.
Ecoflair also improves efficiency by 15 to 20% compared to other indirect air economizer systems, providing the following benefits:
- It requires less energy for cooling, meaning data center operators can increase their IT load with the same electrical infrastructure. Studies conducted by Schneider Electric have shown that it can support up to 30% more IT with the same electrical grid, compared to typical cooling topologies such as chilled water or direct expansion (DX).
- Or, overall CapEx savings can be achieved thanks to the reduced electrical infrastructure requirements. Schneider Electric estimates that CapEx savings can reach up to 6% by reducing the electrical grid load due to the lower overall energy demand resulting from using Ecoflair.
