The new PDU family offers versatile configurations and presents an elegant solution for various rack types. It features up to 24 European 2-pin sockets (Shuko or NF 2P+T), British 3-pin sockets, or IEC sockets, and CEE 7/7 or British-Standard (BS) plugs, BS4343 16A or 32A plugs, or IEC connectors.
All configurations are available as basic PDUs that can be upgraded to PDUs with metering via ammeter module, or to fully monitored PDUs with an SNMP management module with Ethernet ports for remote power control.
The ease of upgrading RS Pro's new PDUs makes them a smart investment. A basic PDU without power control can be installed quickly and easily at minimal cost. It can then be upgraded quickly and affordably at any time simply by adding the desired power control module, which can be ordered separately. Because the modules are hot-swappable, operators can start monitoring energy usage without having to shut down equipment. Furthermore, they can save money by investing in a module shared among several PDUs for temporary fault detection or data collection.
Adding a metering module to a basic PDU allows access to consumption data via the module's integrated LCD panel. The more sophisticated SNMP management module with upgradeable firmware enables users to monitor input current, voltage, power, energy consumption, and power factor through a web interface, as well as configure SNMP collectors and receive automatic email alerts for any faults. Daisy-chain configuration allows for the control of up to five PDUs.
