Like the rest of the series, the new models support QNAP's online capacity expansion feature by connecting multiple QNAP RAID expansion chassis (REXP-1200U-RP/REXP-1600U-RP), allowing businesses to expand their total storage beyond 100 TB of raw capacity. This flexibility enables businesses to scale their storage in a controlled and cost-effective manner as their capacity demands grow.
With a 2.6 GHz Intel Dual-Core® processor, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, and four Gigabit LAN ports, the new TS-x70 series offers business users a high-performance NAS solution for everyday operations. Internal QNAP lab tests show read speeds of up to 450 MB/s and write speeds of up to 423 MB/s in typical Windows backbone environments. Furthermore, the TS-x70 series supports 10GbE high-speed networks, making it an ideal solution for applications such as real-time HD video editing and data center environments.
The TS-x70 series is an ideal network storage solution for server virtualization via iSCSI/IP SAN deployment, and it supports a wide range of solutions including VMware® vSphere™, Citrix® XenServer™, Microsoft® Hyper-V™, and Windows Server 2012. Support for VMware VAAI, QNAP's vSphere Client plug-in, enhances the efficiency of virtualization operations and application management.
