Customers will benefit from scalable, high-capacity, and resilient connectivity designed to meet the growing and complex demands of the most advanced AI technologies. Global Fabric's flexibility will be unprecedented. Unlike traditional networks, where configuring or modifying connectivity services can take weeks, Global Fabric makes these changes instantaneous, enabling businesses to efficiently manage unpredictable AI-driven spikes in data traffic.

BT has already deployed Global Fabric points of presence (PoPs) in more than 45 of the world's leading cloud data centers, and this number will increase to 140. This gives customers a choice of locations from which to access Global Fabric services to suit their operational, market, and regulatory needs.
Customers without network connections to the cloud data centers hosting Global Fabric PoPs can request new connections from BT, enabling them to be ready for the service launch in early 2025.

BT is also preparing a demonstration of the Global Fabric digital management portal. This November, customer IT teams will be able to learn how to configure and optimize their multi-cloud networks and experiment with application programmable interfaces (APIs). The APIs will help customers integrate Global Fabric connectivity with other digital business platforms and applications to drive innovation and growth.

Connecting to Global Fabric PoPs:
Global Fabric's core network hardware is installed in the world's leading carrier-neutral facilities (CNFs)—large data centers where cloud providers, software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies, and network operators provide access to their services.

Global Fabric hardware locations are known as "points of presence" (PoPs). BT makes it easy for customers to connect their headquarters with their business partners and with their multi-cloud hosted applications and workloads, using BT PoPs as global connectivity gateways.
