Based on the successful DataTaker DT80 series, the DT82E provides a highly versatile and easy-to-use solution for a wide range of environmental data logging projects, including agriculture, weather stations, hydrology, and any field application where AC power is unavailable. Its rugged design and construction ensure reliability in extreme weather conditions, and it can operate on battery or solar power for extended periods.
The analog, digital, and high-speed counter channels allow for easy connection of most sensors and signal sources to the DT82E. It can measure temperature, voltage, current, 4-20 mA loops, resistance, Wheatstone bridges, strain gauges, frequency, digital signals, and serial digital signals. Dual channel isolation allows the user to utilize up to four 2-wire differential analog inputs or six common-reference inputs in various combinations. Measurements can be converted and stored in memory on engineering units or reported with statistical analysis. With its SDI-12 sensor network input and 12 V output for powering sensors, the DT82E is ideal for most environmental or industrial monitoring projects. Sampling, data logging, alarms, and control functions can be easily organized into different subprograms to tailor the DT82E to your specific requirements.
This device can store up to 10 million data points in internal memory, with the ability to configure the memory size required for each subprogram with independent control. The DT82E will overwrite the data or stop the program once the memory reserved for each subprogram is full. Data can be archived with alarm events, copied to a USB drive, or transferred via FTP. Communication options include RS232 with modem support, Ethernet, and USB, allowing access locally, remotely, or via the internet. The internal web interface allows users to configure the data logger, access stored data, and view current measurements in mimics or tables using a web browser. The internal FTP server allows data to be retrieved from your office via the internet or mobile network without the need for specific software.
