With the TwinPix function, Testo's IRSoft PC software offers an additional feature for image processing. Thermal imaging cameras with integrated digital cameras simultaneously record a thermographic image and a real-world image. When the data is downloaded to the PC, the TwinPix function displays both images superimposed, with the transparency of the top image reduced to reveal the bottom image, creating the effect of one merging into the other.
To precisely overlay the images, identical reference points are established in both the thermographic and real-world images. With TwinPix, even locations with objects measured at different distances can be seamlessly merged and displayed as a single image.
Image blending makes it easier to understand the thermographic image taken and helps to locate potential damage more quickly on the actual object being measured.
