To enable you to use and test the performance of the 0804-5000-xx series Power Line modules, Bel offers a very easy-to-use demo to connect an Ethernet connection with a bandwidth of up to 200Mbps via the 230V AC network.
This demo has an RS232 connection and an RJ45 Magjack connector for Ethernet connection as well as communication LED indicators.
Bel's Power Line modules can be used for point-to-point video connections up to a distance of approximately 100 meters or configured as a true Ethernet network with several modules interconnected, both configurations via the electrical network.
This connection is compatible with standard Home Plug and Power Line connectors.
Digital conversion is performed using Intelon's INT64000 series chips, integrated into the 0804-5000-xx modules.
Bel leverages its full technological capabilities in this demo, integrating the following Bel devices:
- Magjack connectors for optimal Ethernet network connection with a shielded RJ45 and an integrated transformer for connecting to the communications chipset.
- 0804-5000-xx series Power Line modules.
- A universal 110V/240V AC power supply.
- A filter to modulate the signal over the AC line with optimized isolation and performance.
This is also a secure communications system, as the connection between points is encrypted.
There are several applications where Power Line connection can be used, such as in security camera systems to send the video signal over the existing 230V AC power line, eliminating the need for coaxial cable and thus avoiding interference.
