The device is designed for homes heated by radiators with thermostatic valves to regulate the flow of hot water.
With this smart thermostatic valve, you can fully open, partially open, or completely close the valve via a smartphone app, or through various automations that can be configured on your router.

Technical Features
Display and Controls: It has a high-contrast e-ink display that shows the current and desired temperature. It also has physical buttons to manually adjust the temperature, activate the antifreeze function, and the turbo mode for rapid heating.

Flexible Programming: Allows you to configure a weekly schedule with up to eight daily switching points, adapting to the user's routines and contributing to energy savings

Special Modes: Includes features such as vacation mode, programmable open window detection, and the ability to group multiple thermostats for coordinated management in a room

Compatibility and Installation: It fits most common heating systems with standard M30x1.5 mm valves and comes with an adapter for Danfoss RA valves. Its dimensions are 51 x 51 x 90 mm and it weighs 150 g

Power and Autonomy: It operates on three AA batteries, offering extended battery life thanks to its efficient energy consumption

Integration and Remote Control
The FRITZ!DECT 302 connects wirelessly to the FRITZ!Box router using the DECT ULE standard. This integration allows you to control the heating from anywhere using the FRITZ!Box web interface, the FRITZ!App Smart Home application, or devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 440. Furthermore, it is possible to access and adjust settings via the internet, facilitating remote control of the heating system.

With this thermostatic valve, we can intelligently heat different rooms and view the temperature of each room from our phone. Of course, we can easily manage it via the internet, allowing us to turn on the heating before leaving work or when we arrive home.

The valve has an M30 x 1.5mm connector; if your radiator doesn't have this size, you'll need to buy adapters. The valve operates quietly when it rotates.

The valve connects to the FRITZ!Box by pressing the DECT button, is installed on the radiator, and the valve adjustment process is followed according to the on-screen instructions. Once installed, it can be configured and customized via the FRITZ!Box interface, allowing adjustment of schedules, temperatures, and other functions

In the thermostatic valve settings, we can see the unit model, firmware version, customizable name, and available battery level.
We can lock the thermostatic valve's physical buttons to prevent accidental changes, and even block access from phones, apps, or the interface.
We can configure a timer with two different temperatures (day and night), as well as the desired schedules. Other available options include setting a vacation mode, where we can define a temperature for that period (the default is 16ºC), as well as different dates to completely turn off the heating.

When the thermostatic valve detects open windows, it closes the radiator valve to save energy.
We also have the option to configure external window sensors (not yet available in AVM), as well as the ability to change the temperature measured by the thermostatic valves.
We can also configure the notification service to alert us to various events.

Once we have configured the template as we wish, if we want to configure the FRITZ!DECT 440 to control the heating, we have the possibility of assigning this template to a specific physical button, with the aim of automating this functionality and doing it from anywhere.

There are several apps available for managing routers, checking your home's Wi-Fi coverage, and centrally controlling all your FRITZ!DECT smart home devices. The app you should use is the FRITZ!App Smart Home, compatible with Android and iOS.
If you're connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your FRITZ!Box router, the app will automatically detect it, and you'll only need to enter your administrator password.

In the main menu, we can check if the valve is properly installed. Then we can view a history of the measured temperature and change the device name, see the model, battery level, DECT coverage, and choose whether to create a group of thermostatic valves. We can also access other functions related to measuring room temperature, detecting open windows, and locking the thermostat's physical buttons.

All the options we have in the application are also available in the FRITZ!OS firmware

The application allows you to configure scenes where the heating is activated when you return home, or deactivated when you leave home, providing location permissions to the application so that it can locate you and turn the heating on or off when the conditions are met.

In conclusion
, the AVM FRITZ!DECT 302 is a smart and efficient solution for home heating control. Its integration with the home network, ease of use, and advanced features improve comfort and reduce energy consumption. Furthermore, its compatibility with the most common heating systems and the option for remote control are added benefits.
With native integration with FRITZ!Box routers, no hub or relay is required.
