In this way, Faast not only becomes the first solution of its kind, but also allows companies and organizations to have a comprehensive cybersecurity solution that protects from threats both traditional devices connected to their systems and other IoT devices such as webcams, printers, routers, videoconferencing systems or televisions also connected to the corporate network.
 
With the new features incorporated into Faast, companies can constantly monitor their organization's IoT devices by applying techniques used by real attackers. This will allow businesses to strengthen their networks and neutralize these attacks in the future. Once the devices are identified, the technology detects existing vulnerabilities. These include flaws such as deficiencies in authentication or authorization processes, insecure network services, or a lack of encryption in data transmission. Users can manage these and other vulnerabilities common to all IoT devices through the Vamps online portal.
 
The magnitude of the IoT phenomenon in a hyperconnected society is exposing companies to previously unknown dangers, hence the importance of early detection of the security threats posed by IoT devices. This is one of the conclusions of the report "Unprecedented Scope, Scale and Risks: Securing the Internet of Things," recently presented by ElevenPaths and Telefónica's IoT division, in collaboration with other organizations and companies working in this field, such as SIGFOX, the IoT Foundation, and Kaspersky Lab.
 
Faast's new IoT analytics capabilities complement Telefonica's existing IoT security solutions, such as Trusted Public Key Infrastructure, which identifies and authenticates IoT devices connected to the network; Security Monitoring, which detects anomalous IoT device behavior based on network traffic; and CyberThreats, which detects and identifies the modus operandi of cybercriminals and the techniques used in attacks against IoT infrastructures.
