PCIe 5.0 testing was conducted in PCI-SIG compliant laboratories using PCI-SIG certified systems, in conjunction with other leading PCIe product manufacturers. KIOXIA's CM7 and CD8P series drives are now listed as PCI-SIG integrators. This certification provides users with the assurance that KIOXIA drives meet the rigorous requirements of the PCIe 5.0 specification.
KIOXIA's CM7 and CD8P series drives have been included on the official list of integrators published by the University of New Hampshire® InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL). To be considered for inclusion on the list, technologies must undergo conformance testing conducted by UNH-IOL through laboratory testing or during an NVMe Plugfest. Success in these tests provides a reasonable level of confidence that the tested product will function correctly in NVMe-enabled systems and in NVM Express over Fabrics (NVMe-oFTM) environments.
“Rigorous testing processes allow users to have confidence in the products they deploy in their data centers,” said Kerry Munson, director of data center technologies operations at UNH-IOL. “KIOXIA’s NVMe SSDs have passed UNH-IOL’s stringent testing requirements to be included on our NVMe Integrator List.”.
KIOXIA's CM7 series enterprise SSDs are available in 2.5-inch and E3.S form factors for heavy read and mixed use, with capacities up to 30.72 terabytes (TB) (2.5-inch form factor only).
The company's CD8P series data center SSDs come in 2.5-inch and E3.S form factors in read-intensive and mixed-use capacities, with capacities up to 30.72 TB (2.5-inch form factor only).
"We are pleased to launch KIOXIA's CM7 and CD8P series drives, which support PCIe 5.0 and NVMe 2.0, specifically targeting enterprise and data center users. At KIOXIA, we are committed to delivering the cutting-edge technology and performance optimization standards that define our current SSD products and will define our future SSD products," said Paul Rowan, Vice President of SSD Marketing and Engineering, KIOXIA Europe GmbH.
