Bluegiga's Wi-Fi modules are ideal for embedded applications requiring reliable, long-range Wi-Fi connectivity within an easy-to-integrate surface-mount package. The Bluegiga WF121 is a unique Wi-Fi module that provides a fully integrated 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n radio platform, TCP/IP rack, and a 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) for embedded applications needing simple, low-cost, low-power wireless IP connectivity. It also provides flexible peripheral interfaces, such as SPI, I2C, ADC, and GPIO, for connecting various peripherals directly to the WF121 Wi-Fi module.
The WF121 Wi-Fi module also supports end-user applications within the 32-bit MCU module and utilizes the simple Bluegiga BGScript™ scripting language and free development tools. This eliminates the need for an additional MCU and allows end users to develop smaller, lower-cost Wi-Fi devices. The WF121 can also be used when the external MCU requires access to Bluegiga's BGAPI binary command API. 802.11 access point and HTTP server functionality are also included for easier setup and direct connection to phones, tablets, and PCs.
