SUCOFLEX 200 wrapped ribbon microwave cable assemblies have been specifically developed for high-performance applications where the lowest insertion loss, highest phase stability with respect to temperature, and mechanical stability are paramount. They cover a frequency range up to 29 GHz (SUCOFLEX 229) and 40 GHz (SUCOFLEX 240).

sucoflex300-wSUCOFLEX 329 and SUCOFLEX 340 complete the SUCOFLEX 300 family and offer the same characteristics, but with aluminum core conductors and a weight reduction of up to 50%. They are qualified for high-end applications with stringent requirements. Their typical field of use is therefore aerospace systems (e.g., satellites, launch vehicles) and aerial systems (aircraft, helicopters, missiles, UAVs), which are subjected to the most severe operating conditions. They offer exceptional electrical performance, stability, and reliability up to 40 GHz. These SUCOFLEX cable assemblies provide exceptional phase stability over temperature (800 ppm from -55 to +85°C) and are available with SMA, N, TNC, and SK (for 229 and 329) and SMA and SK (for 240 and 340).

Constant temperature cable assemblies

One of the requirements of emerging markets is signal integrity. A key element within this requirement is temperature stability. Typical coaxial cable constructions usually consist of several layers of polymers and metallic components, and the coefficients of thermal expansion of these materials differ from one another. This makes it obvious that temperature changes cause physical stress to the product through compression and expansion forces, thus creating changes in electrical characteristics. To limit this unavoidable effect, HUBER+SUHNER focuses on the ideal combination of product construction and material selection.

minibend-wFor applications where increased system accuracy over fluctuating temperatures is critical, HUBER+SUHNER offers the Sucoform CT-assembled family, which includes 0.086" conformable semi-rigid and the highly flexible Minibend. All products provide excellent phase stability and minimal insertion loss. The CT-semi-rigid assembly handles temperature changes four times better than standard products, without the typical phase knee at room temperature. Under laboratory conditions (+10° to +40°C), phase shift is virtually nonexistent (<50 ppm). Both Sucoform and Minibend exhibit absolute phase shift <300 ppm from -55°C to +125°C, again with a flat line under laboratory conditions.

tl-passsembly-wFlexible low PIM test lead

HUBER+SUHNER presents the TL-P (Lead Test - PIM).
The flexibility, weight, and handling of this product are in a league of their own compared to standard PIM test assemblies and surpass even leading NWA test leads.
All this with a guaranteed PIM performance of -160 dBc (test report included) up to 4 GHz and connectors that handle >2000 insertion cycles. The assembly offers a dynamic flex life of >10,000 cycles (r = 110 mm) and is designed with a steel spring shield that protects against twisting and ensures a long service life.

The TL-P product line is the ideal solution for benchtop PIM analyzers in an indoor environment (laboratory or factory testing) and offers excellent loss return performance. It combines ease of use (new to the market), durability, and reliable PIM results in one product, making it an investment that increases the total cost of ownership.

With its lightweight design and smooth physical characteristics, the TL-P is also an asset for field testing applications. Users of portable PIM test devices will appreciate carrying a much less bulky test cable with a high degree of reliability, eliminating the need for repeated rebuilds and reducing both cost and time. The product is available with 7/16-, N-, and 4.3-10 male connectors in standard lengths of 1,500 and 3,000 mm. Other interfaces and mounting lengths are available upon request.
