At a quarter the size and half the weight of other PIM testing solutions, the MW82119A offers the inherent advantages of the PIM Master—such as 40W testing capability and Anritsu's patented Distance-to-PIM™ (DTP) technology—in a compact unit ideally suited for hard-to-reach locations, such as RRH installations and indoor distributed antenna systems.

Six models are available to cover the major frequency ranges, including the upper and lower bands of 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz, and 1900/2100 MHz. All six MW82119A PIM Master analyzers incorporate DTP technology, enabling tower and maintenance contractors, as well as wireless service providers, to pinpoint PIM problems, whether they are on the tower itself or outside the antenna system. The analyzers also perform tests at 40W, enabling the PIM Master MW82119A to pinpoint faults that conventional 20W test solutions might miss, such as intermittent PIM or power-related issues.

In addition to its compact and lightweight design, the PIM Master MW82119A offers other advantages for wireless networking professionals responsible for meeting field testing requirements. For example, its flexible power adjustment capability allows a single MW82119A analyzer to perform PIM testing on low-power distributed antenna systems (DAS) as well as high-power macrocells.

Like all Anritsu portable test solutions, the PIM Master MW82119A is built to withstand the shocks and vibrations of transport and the harsh conditions required for outdoor testing during cell site deployment, installation, and maintenance. Testing is simplified thanks to the analyzer's ability to save and access measurement configurations for standardized testing; boundary lines can also be set to apply visual or audible pass/fail criteria. Anritsu's Line Sweep Tools can be used to manage measurements with the PIM Master MW82119A, as well as to generate reports that combine VSWR and PIM data into a single site report. PIM measurements can be tagged with GPS location when this option is enabled on the device.
