The 8800 has been designed to be an affordable tool for new digital radio users. Its battery, light weight, and robust construction, along with its laboratory-grade specifications, make it ideal for the maintenance and commissioning of all types of PMR systems.
The unit is compatible with AM, FM, dPMR, NXDN, DMR, P25, and ARIB T98 systems. It has a maximum direct power input of 50W and a sensitivity of -150dBm (with the preamp engaged). The unit features a spectrum analyzer with an integrated tracking generator, enabling measurements of SWR as a function of frequency, distance to fault, duplexer tuning, and more.
Typical customers for this platform include: users of analog PMR systems (AM and FM), users of the new digital DMR, NXDN, and dPMR systems, airports, the military, radio communications system integrators, distributors of professional radio communications equipment, and so on.
The 8800 has been designed to fill the gap between the 3920B and 3550R series in terms of cost/performance for users with smaller budgets.
