The R&S IQR records digital RF signals in real time. Thanks to its unique combination of speed, compact size, and durability, it is ideal for drive tests on broadcast and mobile networks. When measuring electronic equipment and components, the recorder can be used to supply pre-generated measurement signals. Furthermore, it is possible to record sporadic signals and broadband spectra in real time for later offline analysis.
To achieve a continuous analysis system for digital RF signals, the user can connect the data recorder to a spectrum analyzer or mobile network analyzer and a Rohde & Schwarz signal generator via the digital I/Q interface. This I/Q interface simplifies both parameter exchange between devices and data recorder setup. During configuration, the user can enter various trigger modes for the start/stop function, ranging from quick manual start to triggering recording based on a pre-set I/Q signal level. The integrated Ethernet interface allows for both remote control of the device and transfer of measurement data via LAN. Two additional USB interfaces located on the front panel and a touchscreen further facilitate the recorder's operation.
The R&S IQR is three units high and available in two models: the R&S IQR20 offers one I/O and one I/Q, each with a maximum throughput of 20 Msamples/s. This model is designed for use in stationary applications with hard disk drive memory. The memory package consists of a hard drive with a storage capacity of 1 TB and a maximum data transfer rate of 80 Mbps. The advanced model, the R&S IQR100, features one I/O and one I/Q capable of handling up to 100 Msamples/s. It can be equipped with a 1 TB solid-state drive with a maximum data transfer rate of 270 Mbps.
