"The V6 ECO is the result of continuous development work. It responds to the ever-increasing demands of modern equipment and takes into account the growing complexity of the signals to be analyzed. Our goal has long been to be able to offer high-performance SDR-based measurement devices in the entry-level segment. Now we have achieved this with the SPECTRAN® V6 ECO family."
Wide frequency range
The SPECTRAN® V6 ECO 100XA-6 operates in the 9 kHz to 6 GHz frequency range, with an optional 7.25 GHz range for Wi-Fi 6E measurements. It offers a real-time bandwidth (RTBW) of 44 MHz or a sweep speed of 500 GHz/s. For use as a broadband oscilloscope, for example, the power meter input is utilized. This input is integrated into the Rx1 routing and can be used simultaneously with the Rx1 input. It has a frequency range of 1 MHz to 8 GHz with an accuracy of +/- 1 dB, a pulse response time of 10 ns, and a dynamic range of 70 dB. The power meter's ADC (analog-to-digital converter) operates at a real-time sampling rate of 2.5 MSPS (megasamples per second) with a 12-bit resolution, corresponding to a pulse resolution of 400 ns. This allows for very rapid power control, which can be used, for example, to protect the pre-amplification stage by automatically disconnecting it in case of overload. The power meter's functions are used, among other things, in the characterization of RF (radio frequency) signals, troubleshooting wireless communication systems, quality control in the production of electronic devices, and the analysis of radio transmissions.
The SPECTRAN® V6 ECO 100XA-6 includes the powerful RTSA-Suite PRO for signal recording and data analysis. Among other features, the software offers simultaneous display of multiple 2D and 3D signal visualizations, triggers, AM/FM decoders, and IQ processing. Furthermore, a large number of core functions, valued at a total of €7,782.00, are already included free of charge in the basic version. These include Filereader and Filewriter for recording and playing back IQ data, remote HTTP, or scripts. In addition, a wide range of functions can be easily installed later via a software license, significantly expanding the device's functionality or adapting it to evolving needs.
"RTSA-Suite PRO offers analysis options that are unmatched by any other solution," says Thorsten Chmielus. "The software's flexibility and ease of use, thanks to its modular structure, are impressive, as is the wide range of visualization and analysis options. Another unique feature is the ability to subsequently evaluate and analyze the recorded IQ data in detail in real time. And all of this can be done on a standard PC." If required, multiple SPECTRAN® V6 ECO units can be cascaded to create, for example, a phase-coherent broadband data logger solution.
The USB spectrum analyzer connects to a PC or laptop with a single USB cable. Power is supplied via USB PD using the same USB port. Recommended antennas for use with the SPECTRAN® V6 ECO include HyperLOG® EMI antennas, BicoLOG® series CEM measurement antennas, the IsoLOG® 3D Mobile for 3D measurements, and specially developed near-field probes for component or PCB-level measurements. However, all other Aaronia antennas and products from other manufacturers can also be used with this real-time spectrum analyzer.
The SPECTRAN® V6 ECO 100XA-6 with power meter function, including RTSA-Suite PRO, is available for €2,748.
About Aaronia AG
Aaronia AG is a technology company located in Strickscheid in Eifel / Germany.
The company was founded in 2003 by Thorsten Chmielus and primarily produces spectrum analyzers based on patented spectrum analysis processes. The first spectrum analyzer was manufactured and delivered in 2004. In 2008, the next generation of Spectrum Analyzers was introduced with the V4 series, which set a world record for portable DANL sensitivity of 170 dBm (Hz). In 2016, Aaronia launched the SPECTRAN® V5 series, the world's first and only real-time portable spectrum analyzers. The frequency range was expanded from a maximum of 9.4 GHz to up to 20 GHz for the V5 series.
With its new generation of spectrum analyzers, AARONIA is setting a new standard for speed. With a real-time bandwidth of up to 500 MHz, the SPECTRAN® V6 establishes new benchmarks in the compact USB class. The system is used worldwide, in numerous individual installations as well as in complex plants.
The company's current objective is the development, trade, and distribution of measuring instruments, technologies, and rights in the field of low and high frequency measurement technology, robotics, as well as the shielding of low and high frequency fields of any kind, and basic research in the field of communications and measurement technology; in addition, the construction of its own measurement circuits and methods, especially for the development of extremely sensitive and precise high-frequency measurement technology.
