Nethawk's EAST is a multi-protocol, multi-environment simulator for various existing technologies, allowing the simulation of fixed and/or mobile networks with diverse network interfaces, for example: GSM, UMTS (including HSDPA and HSUPA), WiMAX, LTE, IMS, and Core
Nethawk's EAST in the fourth generation (LTE) environment is currently the simulator chosen by multiple manufacturers, including: NSN, Motorola, NTT DoCOMo and Alcatel-Lucent, among others.
NetHawk EAST EPC allows testing of CORE elements in LTE, such as LTE-MME, S-GW and PDN-GW, both by simulating them separately and together.
All the necessary elements and interfaces of this environment can be simulated with EAST, such as S1-MME, S3, S6, S10, and S11, and for S-GW using interfaces S1-U, S4, S5, S11, and S6.
Its state-of-the-art hardware design (ATCA and PCI-Express platform) allows for portable, lab, and production solutions with high processing capacity.
Its SDL-style test case management simplifies use and allows for easy modification by the user. Furthermore, additional proprietary applications and libraries for creating test cases, building protocols, and executing tests provide significant flexibility for development environments.
