Another new feature of the UXM is the addition of W-CDMA/HSPA+ testing capabilities, which allow testing 3G data speed with integrated fading and CPC statistics, mobility and handover verification between different radio access technologies (RAT), and logging of multiple time-aligned formats.

The latest enhancements to the UXM enable cell reselection across different LTE/W-CDMA radio access technologies (RATs), connected data handover, and disconnection with redirection, all within a single UXM test unit. This includes support for CSFB and SRVCC. Validation engineers can also connect two UXMs in an array to test mobility across up to four LTE cells and handover between multi-carrier LTE-A and W-CDMA/HSPA+ connections.
