When used with flexible test sequencing software, such as the TestStand Wireless Test Module, manufacturers can significantly improve instrument utilization when testing multiple devices in parallel. The WTS integrates easily into a manufacturing line with ready-to-run test sequences for devices using chipsets from vendors like Qualcomm and Broadcom, as well as integrated remote automation control and DUT. With these features, customers achieve substantial efficiency gains from their RF test equipment and further reduce their testing costs.

The WTS is NI's latest system built on PXI hardware and LabVIEW and TestStand software (see the Semiconductor Test System released in 2014). Supporting wireless standards from LTE Advanced to 802.11ac for Bluetooth Low Energy, the WTS is designed for manufacturing testing of WLAN access points, mobile phones, infotainment systems, and other multi-standard devices, including mobile phone standards, wireless connectivity, and navigation. The software-engineered PXI vector signal transceiver technology within the WTS delivers high RF performance in the manufacturing test environment and a platform that can scale with evolving RF testing requirements.
