The need to have both a target system and an oscilloscope available at the same time can cause bottlenecks during debugging and testing. InfiniiView reduces this problem by allowing engineers to view, analyze, share, and document their results at a different time and place than where testing is taking place.
To enable engineers to create usable documentation more quickly, InfiniiView incorporates bookmarks and smart bookmarks—documentation features previously unavailable in any oscilloscope user interface. Because the application runs on a PC, users can easily share information with design partners, suppliers, and customers using memory cards, email, or web conferencing systems.
InfiniiView includes several industry firsts:
• The first application to migrate the complete user interface from real-time oscilloscopes to a PC for faster navigation and more powerful visualization and analysis.
• The first application to offer a screen resolution of up to 1680 x 1200 for improved waveform viewing on large monitors. (This is more than 50% higher than the industry standard of 1024 x 768 pixels on oscilloscope displays.)
• First application to incorporate independent dockable windows for time, frequency, and protocol measurements, enabling the creation of user-customizable views.
• First application to offer portable, server-based licensing for easier sharing. (In addition to data sharing, users can lend application licenses.)
• First application to incorporate smart markers that dynamically update delta values along with annotated axis values to accelerate debugging.
• First PC-based application to support protocol decoding for I2C; SPI; RS-232; RS-422; RS-485; UART; JTAG; CAN; LIN; FlexRay; USB; PCIe® Gen 1, 2, and 3; MIPI D-Phy; RF Digit; 8B/10B; and 64B/66B Ethernet for faster debugging of designs that include serial buses.
