The SmartScope combines multiple functions of an oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and waveform generator in an aluminum case measuring just 110.0 x 64.0 x 24.2 mm and weighing only 158 grams. The software provides the user with an interface for power-on functions and can be downloaded from the SmartScope website. It is available for Android (Google Play Store or LabNation website), Apple Mac OS X, Apple iOS (jailbroken), Microsoft Windows 7, 8, and 10, and Ubuntu and Debian Linux distributions.

The oscilloscope provides two analog channels with a sampling rate of up to 100 MS/s, offering a bandwidth of -3 dB to 45 MHz. The input signal range is ±35 V with a 1 MΩ/1 pF impedance, 8-bit precision, and a maximum resolution of 2.5 mV. The SmartScope oscilloscope software provides a full suite of display functions, controllable via touch, mouse, or keyboard, including voltage scaling, timebase scaling, panning, input coupling, and simple voltage measurements.

The logic analyzer offers eight channel inputs with a user-selectable logic level of either 3.3 or 5 VDC. The application includes SmartScope's standard protocol decoders, such as I2C and SPI, and also allows for the development of custom decoders. The single-channel waveform generator can create arbitrary waveforms with a data rate of up to 50 MS/s and an output level of 0 to 3.3 V. The digital output generator provides four channels, up to a rate of 100 MS/s, at either 3.3 or 5 V.

The SmartScope is ideal for the growing number of small desktop computer builders, such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino users, enabling them to diagnose faults and gain a better understanding of basic electronics and design principles. This compact light unit is suitable for a wide range of electronic engineering, fieldwork, educational, and hobbyist applications.
The small-factor unit comes with a mini USB cable, two analog probes, a digital cable, and probes.
