The new R&S TMV9evo and R&S THV9evo transmitters feature an excellent VHF Band III amplifier design, providing network operators with high energy efficiency of up to 49 percent on each channel in the band.
The DAB+ amplifiers also have a robust thermal design, allowing continuous operation at an ambient temperature of 45°C and full output power that does not limit performance.

An intelligent algorithm, activated by simply pressing a button or adaptively, optimizes the amplifier parameters so that the transmitter operates with maximum energy efficiency.

The transmitter's simple and trouble-free operation is achieved through clear diagnostic information and a high degree of automation. The new R&S TMV9evo and R&S THV9evo DAB+ transmitters are equipped with the necessary features. Integrated performance analysis provides operators with instant feedback on key operating parameters such as shoulder attenuation, efficiency, signal quality, and more, without the need for additional test equipment.

The detailed definition of the desired operating point of the transmitter also allows for continuous monitoring of the transmitter without complicated network management system routines. This enables DAB+ network operators to set limits for attenuation or MER, for example. By doing so, they can be confident that new DAB+ transmitters remain within these operating parameters, provided the transmitters do not emit a warning or alarm signal.

The air-cooled R&S TMV9evo medium power transmitter and the liquid-cooled R&S THV9evo high power transmitter for DAB+ are now available from Rohde & Schwarz.
