The R&S DVMS4 checks the most relevant RF characteristics, such as level, frequency, MER, and BER values. A software option allows users to simultaneously monitor transport frames contained within RF signals and transport frames supplied directly to the R&S DVMS4. This ability to monitor both transmitted and received signals makes it ideal for transmission centers. Faults and measurement results are displayed on-site or sent to the monitoring station via SNMP messages. The R&S DVMS4 graphically displays measurements for quick review. It also offers many other analysis and visualization functions, including PCR jitter analysis and the display of video captures and EPG.
Despite its extensive functionality, the R&S DVMS4 is easy and intuitive to use. Users can configure all monitoring functions according to their needs and local requirements. For remote access or use in centralized network management systems, the R&S DVMS4 can be easily integrated into data networks. Remote and simultaneous web access is also possible from multiple locations.
Compared to the single-channel R&S DVMS1 solution, the DVMS4 features four signal inputs. Measuring only one unit in height, it is the most compact unit on the market. Used in multi-site environments, the R&S DVMS4 only requires the transport frame monitoring option. The result is a cost-effective solution that is easily upgraded with RF modules.
