Based on this standard, it guarantees communications with electricity autonomy and a broadband connection and achieves an immediate level of response to alarms sent by the meters.

The remote monitoring gateway has autonomous response capabilities, allowing it to manage communications and optimize the network, decide which alarms to activate immediately and which to forward to the central server, and ensure the operation of the entire system, including hard-to-reach locations. It operates on batteries and without a broadband connection, as it does not require high-speed communication with the servers. It can be installed wherever needed and, therefore, can reach all required locations without limitations, while consuming significantly less power.

The device integrates the protocols of all the counters from the different manufacturers on the market, so it is able to act according to each type of counter and/or sensor.gateway-lorawan-telemetry-1-w

The efficiency of the entire system is enhanced by an Interrupt System that filters communications and places the device in alternating one-second sleep mode until it is activated by receiving a signal. This allows consumption to drop from the typical 500 milliamps to as low as 8 milliamps. Furthermore, thanks to the activation of Adaptive Data Rate (ADR), which optimizes network consumption, the batteries in the meters also last longer.

The Gateway includes a dedicated terminal for meter installers called L-Bep (LoRaWAN-Bluetooth-End-Point) to facilitate equipment installation and enable installers to perform their work quickly and intuitively. The L-Bep terminal also allows meter data such as serial number, location, indices, expansion factor, etc., to be sent to the central servers.

Arson Metering has collaborated with the LoRaWAN Alliance for its manufacture, the technology association committed to the large-scale deployment of IoT through the open LoRaWAN standard worldwide.
