The AIW-166K device, with Wi-Fi 6E capability, offers speed and bandwidth previously unavailable with the Wi-Fi 5 standard. It delivers data transmission speeds of 433 Mbps to 600 Mbps in the 80 MHz band, and 6933 Mbps to 9607 Mbps in the 160 MHz band. In addition to significantly faster speeds and greater bandwidth, the key difference of Wi-Fi 6 is the upgrade from single-user MIMO and OFDMA in Wave 1 and 2 to multi-user MIMO and OFDMA.
The Advantech AIW-166K 6E wireless kit enhances the range of Wi-Fi 5 from 312.5 kHz to 781.25 kHz. This extended signal coverage translates to reduced latency and improved performance. As a result, AGVs in warehouses and manufacturing facilities will perform their tasks more efficiently, while also saving labor costs, reducing human error, and enhancing production safety.
Furthermore, the Advantech AIW-166K solution will increase throughput by up to 25%. Depending on demand, hospitals and clinics require powerful systems capable of analyzing data to enable accurate diagnoses and support interventions in accident and emergency units. Data must be transmitted via wireless systems, which are essential requirements for the future of medical devices and equipment.
