TE's standard M12-M12 cable assembly series uses compact, straight, and right-angle connectors, enabling cable installation in confined spaces. The combination of a full metal housing and secure cable protector termination ensures compliance with EN 50155. In addition to meeting fire and smoke protection requirements, the cable is resistant to strong impacts and vibrations according to EN 61373 (Category 1, Class B) thanks to its robust design and machined contacts.
The unique strain relief for crimped cables contributes to high data speeds and completely prevents conductor breakage, which could lead to system failures. Furthermore, the crimping system creates a tamper-proof installation, preventing accidental release of the strain relief. High-speed Category 5e or 7 cable ensures that these cable assemblies meet future requirements and can therefore be used in subsequent network upgrades.
M12 cable assemblies are IP67 rated and 100% factory tested by TE to eliminate the possibility of incorrect wiring. They are available in lengths from 1 m to 20 m, in 0.5 m increments, and we can accommodate custom lengths upon request. They come pre-assembled, reducing installation time and enabling rapid deployment of data networks.
