The SL modular connection system includes a mating interface with a positive locking mechanism to ensure a secure connection of the connectors in high-vibration environments. The Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) locking mechanism increases the pull-out force of the terminals and reduces the risk of accidental disconnection. The connector offers maximum flexibility thanks to a range of features, including a low-profile, stackable housing design, vertical and rectangular connectors, various cable connection options such as discreet cable crimping, FFC and IDT termination, and board-mountable headers with various termination types.
Since the terminals consist of two independent contact points, the connection provides a redundant secondary current path, ensuring reliable and long-lasting electrical operation. Furthermore, the 2.54 mm pitch offers compatibility with the unique C-Grid® and KK® product families, which have the same pitch width, expanding configuration possibilities.
