MX2406-120mm connector-wMeeting the requirements of medium power applications, up to 13.0 A, the MXP120 can replace common 1.50 mm systems to enable smaller and more compact solutions, while offering a much higher current capacity and is considerably more robust than smaller 0.64 mm terminal systems.

Compatible with AK and USCAR interfaces, the MXP120 is designed according to the cavity definition of the international AK standard; therefore, it meets the general requirements. The connectors in yellow housings are suitable for vehicle on-board safety systems, achieving performance levels in accordance with the T3-V2-S2 specification (125 °C and 250 m/s²).

They will soon be available in black housings with polarization options compliant with the USCAR standard. These housings are validated according to the T4-V4-S3 specification (per GMW3191), ensuring high performance (155 °C and 300 m/s²) in space-constrained propulsion systems.

New applications are also emerging in vehicle body-integrated electronics for compact, direct, or in-line connections with less demanding performance requirements (125 °C and 30 m/s²). Black connectors will also be well-suited for many industrial and consumer applications where sealing is required and space for encapsulation is limited.

The MXP120 connectors feature an integral locking mechanism that establishes a secure connection with an audible click upon closure for enhanced safety. Additionally, a bridge over the locking mechanism fully protects it from potential damage or prolonged stress during encapsulation and storage, helping to ensure consistent locking quality throughout the connector's lifespan. The single wire-joint (SWS) and perimeter-gasket connection systems achieve IPx8 protection rating, resisting high-pressure spray.

The MXP120 sealed connection system features an enlarged and robust CPA (Connector Position Assurance) clip to provide excellent ergonomics and reduce the risk of breakage or misalignment before mating. Once the connector is mated, the CPA, in combination with the integral locking mechanism, stabilizes the connection interface without affecting the mating force.
