The Han-Modular® series, developed by the Harting , is characterized by its adaptable connection system, which allows for great versatility in its configuration. Users can design their own connector to meet the specific needs of their application.True to this philosophy, Harting has launched the new module in the Han-Modular® family, Han®Gigabit, which complements the more than 30 existing modules that cover connections as diverse as signal, power, fiber optics and pneumatics.
The new fully shielded Han®Gigabit module has been developed primarily for industrial and railway applications. It enables Ethernet communications up to 10 Gigabits and meets Cat.5, Cat.6, and Cat.7 requirements.
This new module supports multi-strand cable with a cross-section of 0.08 to 0.5 mm² (AWG 28-AWG 20) and diameters between 5 and 12 mm. It contains 8 contacts that can be easily crimped (4 data pairs). Each pair is individually shielded. The cables can be secured in two different ways: with a socket clamp or a screw clamp.
The Han®Gigabit module is ideal for very demanding applications, where there are extreme conditions of vibration, temperature and electromagnetic disturbances, among others.
