Samtec's 1 mm (0.0394") SCA series features a stack height of only 3.60 mm (0.142") and is available in 4 or 8 rows with up to 320 alternating spring contacts on the interface body. The H-Pin® spring contact features a low-cost stamped pogo pin that delivers over 5,000 spring cycles.
The H-Pin contact has a total pin deflection of up to 0.7 mm and a stable initial contact resistance of 28 mW. This large deflection allows for good accommodation of potential deformation of the connection assembly. The pin is made of beryllium copper for good electrical performance. The spring is made of stainless steel and designed for high temperatures.
This high-density, one-piece interface offers a current capacity of 1.1 A per contact at 30°C with 8 power pins. Additionally, the dual-alignment pins on the top and bottom are standard for board alignment.
The interfaces are available in stacking heights from 0.64 mm to 10 mm and in pitches of 1 mm (0.394"), 1.27 mm (0.050"), and 2.54 mm (0.100"). These high-density interfaces can provide up to 900 double compression contacts. Additional options for increased assembly robustness include clamping clips and screw inserts.
