Harwin's Kona connectors feature a six-finger beryllium copper contact design with full gold plating and an 8.5 mm pitch. The components are individually coated on both the male and female versions, preventing accidental contact and physical damage. Designed for use in harsh environments, the devices utilize a robust wire-to-board design to maintain electrical continuity under severe vibration and shock. Thanks to the stainless steel screws on the female connector housing, the power connectors can be easily serviced without tools.

Kona connectors also utilize an innovative pre-locking mating mechanism that ensures the contacts are fully engaged before the fasteners are tightened. These robust connectors offer a durability of 250 mating cycles, a wide operating temperature range from -65°C to 150°C, and a maximum voltage rating of 5kV. Available in single-row configurations of two, three, or four contacts, the devices are ideal for a variety of applications in harsh environments, such as power control systems, robotic drives, monitoring and management of electric vehicle batteries, satellites, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
