PowerLok™ G2
These products, illustrated in the photographs in the table above (plugs), are high-performance power connectors made of aluminum alloy. They can carry currents up to 300A with a nominal voltage of up to 1kV DC. They offer a wide selection of configurations, including straight and angled versions. The assortment includes both cable-mounted plugs (for cross-sections up to 150mm²) and panel-mounted plugs. A single connector can have 1, 2, or 3 pins. The body construction ensures complete insulation and shielding of the contacts to protect operators and minimize interference.
The main applications for these products are power supply circuits in hybrid and fully electric vehicles: cars, trucks, buses, as well as agricultural machinery and off-road vehicles. Given the demanding nature of these applications, the products are manufactured with a protection rating of IP67, meaning high water resistance and complete sealing against dust that could reduce the conductivity of the connections. Complete waterproofing of the connector is achieved after mating.
PowerLok™ 4.0 G2
Unlike the connectors described above, the PowerLok™ 4.0 G2 subseries is designed to power accessories and subcomponents in vehicles (sensors, actuators, servomechanisms, etc.). Therefore, its electrical parameters are somewhat lower (currents of 5–60 A, cable cross-sections up to 10 mm²), and the connector bodies are also smaller. A high degree of protection, achieving IP69 after connection, has also been ensured. Importantly, all PowerLok™ connectors also have a wide thermal tolerance and can operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 125°C.
