Compared to threaded connections, the bayonet fitting allows for quick assembly and an audible 'snap' indicates that the connectors are properly connected and therefore waterproof. The bayonet fitting is compact, with a diameter of only 12 mm, and vibration-resistant. The interface meets IP67 requirements when the connector is inserted or when covered with a guaranteed protective cap. The Mini-USB connector contacts are made of phosphor bronze and gold-plated, with a nominal contact resistance of 50 mΩ and an insulation resistance of 100 mΩ. The rated current is 1.0 A maximum at 25 °C, and the operating temperature range is -40 °C to +80 °C. The product line includes a panel receptacle that can be PCB-mounted or used with a flexible circuit, protective caps, and pre-terminated cables with an overmolded Mini-USB Type B connector.
