ITT ICS launches a new line of ultrasonically welded two-piece cover assemblies and 24-pin surface mount connectors to meet the latest CFast standards issued by the Compact Flash Association.
ITT ICS has developed its new CFast card kits and connectors to provide both the PATA and SATA interfaces required by the new CFA standard and compliant with Types I and II of the new specifications. The CFast shroud systems consist of a molded plastic frame around a stainless steel shroud and are oriented in position using guide posts, simplifying assembly. Once assembled, the shrouds are ultrasonically welded with a continuous solder joint around the perimeter of the card. These assemblies are highly secure and tamper-proof.
ITT ICS CFast board kits can be customized to meet any CFast product application. Other product features include optional mylar insulation that can be customized to any specification. They support up to 10,000 mating operations. They are available in Type I or Type II packages and are RoHS compliant. ITT ICS also offers a full line of USW assembly tools to support the new product.
